Kala Darshini is a unique institute in the campus of Andhra Loyola College which is committed to the formation, promotion and preservation of fine arts and culture in Andhra Pradesh for the past twenty years through various courses it organizes throughout the year. Besides the regular annual courses, Kala Darshni has been conduction Annual Cultural Festivals for last 15 years to encourage the talented students. The Festival is organized in the month of January for four days in 8 disciplines. The primary objective of the Festival is to give a fair chance to the students of all categories. Kala Darshini believes in providing equal opportunities to every talented person and ensures fair judgment with strict procedures and norms to award the deserving student.
Public Response to the Festival:
The festival has been organized since 1995 successfully. As many as 2000 students from 100 educational institutions participated in the events with great enthusiasm. The campus is crowded with the students, parents, school teachers and many art lovers for four days. Huge number of students participate in the events like drawing, painting, group singing, group dance, and light music singing etc. Both electronic and print media take keen interest in splashing news of the events of the Festival.
The Award Ceremony
The award ceremony is something of an attraction. It was much looked forward to and awaited in eagerness because the results are announced that day. The results are announced only on the stage after a bid process of evaluation hence every student who has participated is forced to attend the award ceremony. The award is given away by a reputed artiste. The institute purposely invited great artistes in order to introduce those famous personalities to the hundreds of youth of Vijayawada city. It is also to motivate and inspire the youth to specialize the skills and commit themselves for the promotion of arts. The students have always taken great pride in receiving the award before 3000 audience in the hand of an eminent artist.

Viswanath, Padmasri S.P. Bala Subrahmanyam, Dr. Kondapalli Sitaramaiah,Padmasri Vedantam Satyanarayana Sharma, Urvasi Sharada, Kala Bharathi Jamuna, Padmasri Shobha Naidu, M. M. Kiravari, RamaKrishna, Mano, Mikkilineni Radha krishnamurthy, Nadasudharnava Annavarapu Ramaswamy, Rangasimha Achanta Venkataratnam Naidu, Yarlagaddy Laxmi Prasad, N M Dixit.
